During the day, Jakarelly, Liz, Matt, and I (Melina) were at the Luis Vernaza Hospital.
Matt and Jakarelly were able to watch a heart surgery. The anesthesiologist allowed them to stand in his spot so they could watch the surgery closely.
Liz and I were able to spend the day on a floor called "Santa Elena." It was a floor of just women with a wide variety of diagnosis. We had one woman rushed to the Emergency room from our floor, because she went into shock. It was one nurse caring for 26 patients so we went around assessing and taking vital signs. The poor nurse spent all morning just going from patient to patient giving medication.
Shelly, Anna, Chelsea, Emilee, James, and Mykenna were at the Maternity Hospital.
Casey, Sondra, Michael, Charity, Brittney, Greg, Paige, Rebekah and Sarah all went to the community.
At night we had Family Home Evening. It was really fun, because we played "Mafia." Shelly acted like she didn't know how to play, and she was actually a mafia. She had everyone completely fooled until the end. It was a great day!
